Sensitive Teeth Due To Tooth Decay
As soon as cavities or decay get past the tooth’s enamel, the decaying process speeds up. It takes a lot of time for a cavity to move through the tooth enamel because of how strong it is. But once it hits the dentine then it spreads. It is very likely by this point your tooth will start hurting or becoming very sensitive to hot, cold and even sweet items.
If nothing is done about the decay/cavity and the infection reaches the pulp in your tooth, you can then get what is called an abscess. This results in having to get a root canal or having it extracted.
On the good side, just by having good at home dental care habits and seeing your dentist at least twice a year you can help to greatly avoid having these types of larger dental care issues.
