Defer Treatment For A Root Canal
Around nine months ago, I was told by a dentist that I needed to have a root canal on on of my back teeth. I did not have it done then since the tooth in question did not hurt me and I could not afford the cost of a root canal and crown work. With that said the tooth is starting to hurt me now. However, I still do not have the money for a root canal and crown. Is it dangerous to wait longer until I can save up the money?
Answer: If you do not have dental insurance right now then get some. Buying a low cost HMO dental insurance plan or even a dental discount plan will help you reduce the cost of having the needed dental services. And yes it is dangerous to put off having a root canal. Besides the pain if your tooth gets infected (abscessed) the infection can go though out your body. There have been cases where people have died due to lack of needed dental care.
