Posters are promoting health and science careers to American Indian students
Omaha, Neb.—An outreach project at the University of Nebraska Medical Center encourages young Native American students to explore careers in health and science professions, including dentistry.
“The Native American Health and Science Career Role Model Poster Project features poster sets that profile five different Native American role models as well as a curriculum component developed to help schoolteachers present information on the variety of career opportunities in science and health care available for their students,” said Liliana P. Bronner, UNMC assistant director, Rural Health Education Network.
